After the shop rejects your complaint

Your complaint was rejected.
Find your next step.

Start with the shop's explanation. Identify the disagreement before you write again.

Start here

Read the rejection alongside your facts. Ask for an explanation if the reasoning is unclear. If the shop has not addressed relevant information, you can bring it together in a reply.

What does the shop actually say?

  1. Keep the rejection. Note its date. Does the shop need more information, or does it dispute that the fault is covered?
  2. Identify the disagreement. Is it about the purchase, the defect or your requested remedy? Address that point.
  3. Check your facts. Use only dates, evidence and descriptions you can stand behind. Explain what you are unsure about too.

Make your request clear

Refunded's free letter brings together the rejection, your own facts and a request for reconsideration or an explanation. You check the draft and send it yourself with relevant evidence.

A new letter does not establish that the rejection is wrong or guarantee a particular outcome. A refund is not always available. Read about the available remedies.

When more letters do not help

If you still disagree after contacting the shop, investigate the appropriate complaint route. Check eligibility and any fees with the body before proceeding.

See the public guide to the complaint process (Danish).
